The abused words

Ever since I took Psychology..there are a few words that had been overused or might I say, abused. Lemme take you through the top 5 of the list...

1. Define
First thing in psychology I learned was definition. you wana do a research, your definition for your variables are so darn frigging important! because if you din define your variables properly, your results will be affected..and so, we started to ask for definition at every chance we have..

A: How's the movie? is it good?
B: Define 'good'
A: ......

2. Reliable
We run test and do research most of the time, the instruments we used have to be valid and reliable or our research is good as never did..and it became a habit to ask if the source were reliable...

A: there is a flash flood on the way back to kepong.
B: Is ur source of news reliable?
A: .......

3. OCD
Which stands for Obsessive-compulsive disorder. Lemme brief you a lil bout it, OCD- a chronic anxiety disorder commonly characterized by obsessive, distressing related compulsion. often used to describe someone who is meticulous, perfectionistic or otherwise fixated on something or someone. [source from wikipedia] do not ask me about the reliability!
I would say we used this term way more often than we should LOL someone reprinted the assignment just because one small tiny micro mistake, someone who wipes all the cutleries before eating at the cafeteria, someone who wipe and clean the laptop and so on will all end up as an OCD to us..lol

4. Bias
As we read journals about psychological testing, most of it were did and carried out in the West. most of the time, when we wana write about the limitation about a test/research, thats what we write: "The research may be culturally bias" or whatever bias that you can think of...but we tend to use it in a different way...say, when you cant print your notes but your frens did right before you - "bias la tis computer!"

5. wtf
just kidding...because I cant think of anymore, actually I did..I wrote it down but the paper's gone..=.= but well I guess we abused this word alot too...u cant prove me wrong because I have strong evidence...please visit here and here....LOL
